When you are a busy working Mom trying to do all the things, having everything you need at your fingertips is key. This closet is both beautiful and functional.

Of course we love the Elfa shelves for their adjustability to fit exactly what you need. Each shelf is connected to a track at the back. We made everything that needed regular access on a regular basis as low as possible so a step stool wasn’t needed.

Here’s how we organized each shelf:

  • Reference work resource material in magazine files categorized by project.

  • Keepsake boxes for quick access to drop in ticket stubs, photos, etc. (middle)and clear bins for hostess & teacher gifts (sides)

  • Display space with a few essentials (pens, stapler, etc.)

  • Drop files (left) for medical records, business reciepts, and other important papers; Paper drawers (right) for various types of printing paper

  • The middle drawers are the easiest access and are home to all office supplies, notecards, and camera equipment (for the hobbyist photographer).

  • Workbags & purses hang below for a quick transition from home to office.

The best thing about this closet is that is holds everything needed so the rest of the office space can be minimal, decorative, and calming.
